What is Kundalini Tantra Yoga?

A Kundalini Tantra Yoga class blends elements of Kundalini Yoga and Tantra to focus on awakening and balancing your energy.

Here’s a breakdown of what you can expect:

Core Principles:

  • Kundalini Energy: Kundalini Tantra Yoga aims to awaken the Kundalini energy, a powerful force believed to reside at the base of the spine. This awakening is said to lead to spiritual growth and higher consciousness.
  • Tantra: Tantra incorporates breathwork (pranayama), postures (asanas), and sometimes meditation to balance the body’s energy channels (nadis) and awaken the chakras (energy centres).

Class Focus:

  • Breathwork and Movement: Kundalini Tantra Yoga integrates specific postures and movements with breathwork (pranayama) to raise, flow, and balance energy within the body.
  • Spinal and Core Work: Many exercises emphasize spinal movements and core engagement, promoting flexibility and core strength.
  • Emotional Release: The practice incorporates movements and breathwork designed to release stored emotions and tension.

What to expect after?

  • Healing and Vitality:  Kundalini Tantra Yoga can promote healing, increase vitality, and enhance emotional well-being.
  • Spiritual Growth: The practice is said to foster spiritual development and a deeper connection to your inner self.

Important Note:

  • Variations Exist: While the core principles remain consistent, Kundalini Tantra Yoga can vary depending on the instructor’s approach. Some classes might incorporate more chanting or mantras than others.

Sound therapy with Tibetan singing bowls is an ancient form of regeneration. The first bowls were made from an alloy of various metals and were used already 6000 years ago in the Far East. Tibetan singing bowls area a mysterious acoustic phenomenon, which was discovered by “spiritual tourists” in the Himalayas and after the Chinese invasion of Tibet appeared also in Europe and the USA.

The sound of Tibetan singing bowls and the gong harmonizes and allows deep relaxation of both sides of the brain. It stimulates stress relief on all levels and the elimination of toxins from the body. After sound therapy emotions are calm and the mind clearer and the sound vibrations have an effect on the body after the singing bowls have been played on it.

Ildiko Bakos

Yoga Teacher, Ayurvedic Massage Therapist and Reiki Master

India ignited Ildy's passion for yoga in 2000. A transformative month-long yoga course in Auroville sparked a fire within, leading her to return to India for a Yoga Teacher Training course. This experience solidified the profound connection between yoga and her well-being. Since then, yoga has become an inseparable thread in the fabric of Ildy's life. Her teaching style is informed by a deep understanding cultivated through continuous learning and personal experience. Sharing this ancient art and science with others is a true honour. As Ildy embarked on her yoga journey, the profound connection between mind and body became clear. Yoga postures, or asanas, are not merely physical exercises; they are tools to cultivate awareness, healing, and clarity for the mind, body, and spirit. This mind-body connection, she realised, allows us to return to the present moment and truly understand ourselves. Through yoga, Ildy discovered inner peace and the importance of mindfulness. Ildy's personal practice and teaching and training experiences allow for a unique blend of traditional Indian yoga styles and contemporary approaches. Classes are spontaneous, lighthearted, and designed to create a positive and uplifting learning experience for students. The ultimate goal is to guide you on your journey of self-discovery and connection. While she deeply values yoga's spiritual aspects, Ildy also recognises the importance of the physical body.
